Timmy's Dance is the story of a young boy’s journey to Broadway. Little Timmy Grace lives in Harlem, New York. It’s 1945 and times are hard for his family. Never the less, Timmy has a positive attitude and this young man loves to dance.
Casting directors are running out of time and need an African American boy to fill a role to dance with the Legendary Bill "Bojangles" Robinson in a Broadway show. Meanwhile on the other side of town, is an 8 year old youngster living a desolate life as he wonders when he will see his father again.
